I've never been to the Midlothian location, but always enjoyed the short pump one for lunch. We went to dinner at the Midlo one and apparently I've been missing out on a ridiculous selection of cocktails. Serving staff was very friendly and the outdoor ambience is perfect for anyone who loves eating outside.
TLDR; casual vibes, delicious food, friendly service. Vibes - this Tazza is much more casual and rustic than the other locations around town (like Scotts Addition). We came for lunch on a Friday and sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and gave great recommendations but the service was less attentive than what you would get at a table. Food - my husband got the spicy sausage pizza (as always) and I got the Baja bowl with brisket. Both were delicious! We shared a side of sweet potatoes which were good but soooo small and wildly overpriced. I also got a Coke which came in a can so no refills :( I wish I knew that before ordering.
We love this Tazza location! They always provide an exceptional service. They don't falter even when you have a large group or children present. They're super accommodating and the team members always make wonderful food recommendations. They have different cocktail menus for each season so it's fun to pop in with the changes in weather to see what they've created. Check it out!
Got delivery to meadery next door food was good just wish was warmer when we got it as was told left in window bc they thought we were coming 2 pick up
If you're wondering if you should check this place out, I would say yes. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is relaxing and "cool" simultaneously. Our server was very prompt, friendly, and helpful. She made several trips to our table before and during our meal. It's hard to improve on a simple Chicken Alfredo dish, but it was delicious. The noodles were just buttery enough, big chunks of chicken, and the alfredo sauce was creamy, as it should be. Full bar clean restrooms, decent parking. I would go here again.
While the place was a little on the loud side, the ambiance and food was fantastic! I got two different tacos which were full of flavor! The side salad was also delicious. It's nice they have a lot of different food options, so there was something for everyone. The wait staff was really nice and took some group photos that turned out great!
Amazing food and unbeatable service. Susan took care of us from the start, answering questions and just overall being a pleasant server. She truly made us feel at home, and her charismatic energy did not go unnoticed. Items are clearly labeled gluten free and the staff was very knowledgeable regarding allergy questions. We went for an early lunch on a Saturday and had no problem getting a table. Service was incredibly fast and the food was fresh and hot. Their lunch menu had some great deals on it, and the overall prices were reasonable for the quality. My only complaint is that the soda is from cans, but our server checked in multiple times offering refills, so it wasn't horrible!
Cute family-friendly aesthetic spot in the suburbs with nice outdoor dining ambiance. We tried a few healthier options, with the Crispy Potato Salad and cauliflower apps, both of which were good, we surprisingly really enjoyed the refreshing salad between bites of cheese, as we also tried the melted goat cheese app. The goat cheese was warm and mixed with marinara, and dipped in bread was tasty even if simple! For mains we had to try the Vodka Pizza - delicious. The sauce, cheese, and drizzle of pesto made each bite such a good combo, appropriately salty and creamy. Definitely recommend Tazza Kitchen but either come early or make reservations because it can get packed pretty early with on weekends especially.
Tazza (any location) is our "go-to" spot in RVA. Great service and a great variety of foods. Tonight we went to Alverser Plaza- no reservation, rainy evening. No wait and ordered our entrees. Friendly waitress and delicious meals. When you wanna go out and not sure where to go- choose a Tazza!
My boyfriend and I were staying at a nearby hotel and after searching Yelp, we decided to give this restaurant a try. The ambiance was cozy and features an open kitchen concept. I was very tempted to try a pizza since the wood fire oven is visible from the dining area, but I was craving something a bit lighter. We decided to start with chips and queso, which were delicious, but definitely could have used more queso for the amount of chips. For our entrees, we selected the cheeseburger and chicken tinga tacos. Everything was well seasoned and I really appreciated being able to have fries as my side instead of beans. Service was really good, however our waiter was a bit overzealous. He explained multiple times that it was his first day and to be patient with him, which honestly if he had never mentioned it we wouldn't have known. It became a bit awkward as he kept almost apologizing for no reason. Overall this is a cute spot and definitely seemed to be a bit of a local favorite.
